PhillyGSpot (http://www.phillygspot.com) – a social organization that is dedicated to throwing kick-ass parties, creating good times, introducing people to people, and generally making social life in Philly a fun and interesting experience. We throw about 4- 6 PhillyGSpot parties a year. We initially began by throwing small exclusive events attended by our friends and their friends and this always generated a great energy and atmosphere. We’ve since grown and although our events are now generally open to the public (by popular demand after being word of mouth only) we do screen our RSVP lists in order to maintain a crowd with an open and attractive attitude and create a fun, positive atmosphere.
In order to keep our network in the loop on the best events in the city, we also work regularly with Philly’s top top promoters to keep you informed on their events. We are often able to obtain a select number of discounted tickets and give our network first dibs on those.
Some of the more well known annual events on which we collaborate include the New Year’s Eve parties at the Constitution Center and Crystal Tea Room, the Hair O’ The Dog party, the Vampires and Vixens Halloween party, the Young Professional’s Ball, the Fur Ball which supports the Morris Animal Refuge, the Red Cross fundraising gala, The Red Ball, and the Helping Hearts Gala to benefit Children’s Hospital.
Peters Path Corporation, based in Atlanta, Georgia, has launched its online boutique, offering customers socially responsible shopping , as a portion of their every sale goes to various charitable organizations.
Peters Path was founded by Christine Peters, who wanted to combine her keen sense of fashion with her philanthropic endeavors, to offer fashionable clothes and accessories while giving back to the community. Peters Path donates a portion of proceeds of every sale to charity and engages in fundraising events to bring awareness to charitable organizations, and causes she believes in.
The company’s products include comfortable, stylish clothing and unique, hip jewelry—from brands including Alternative Apparel, Johnny Was, LTB, DL1961 and Nick & Mo; as well as home and personal products ranging from unique kitchen items to an organic bath line, a few men’s items, and Peters Path own label of organic T-shirts, manufactured in Uganda, under USAID to Africa.
“We started this company as way to give back to communities, generate awareness and raise funds for charitable organizations,” says Christine Peter, President. “There are so many people who live in less fortunate environments, whether it’s poverty, a disability or illness. We have the power to act, and Peters Path enables customers to help simply by shopping for great clothes and accessories.”
As more American consumers say a company’s social responsibility is influential in deciding whether to purchase a product or service, Peters Path provides an alternative online boutique where customers can shop for great fashion and home products while supporting charities.
As the company grows, it will continue to look for charitable organizations to work with, as well as partner with organizations on social change initiatives and fundraising events. “This is a new and exciting concept in socially responsible shopping,” says Karen Turner, Vice President of Marketing. “While many companies donate proceeds from one product or line, we have created an entire boutique dedicated to philanthropy and social change. We want people to know when they choose Peters Path, they choose to make a difference.”
Peters Path is an online boutique offering clothing, accessories and items for the home. A portion of every sale benefits charitable organizations. For more information about Peters Path, please visit www.peterspathstore.com or email info@peterspathstore.com.
